  • Spectrum Addict: Load “FILM2” Available Now

Hello! Want some cool Sunday night nostalgic Spectrum viewing?

Spectrum Addict: Load “FILM2” (digital SD and HD versions) are NOW AVAILABLE.

Memoirs of a Spectrum Addict was the 2-hour love letter to the Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Now, with permission from Rick Dickinson’s wife, I have released the digital version, with DVDs and BluRays to follow.

ID:	813 This second film is much punchier, faster paced, more games, more hardware, more on magazines, the homebrew scene and – yes – the Spectrum NEXT. You want to see Baggers chat about the NEXT? Or Mel Croucher (Automata) on Deus Ex Machina and why he left the industry? Or maybe you’re interested in Fergus McNeil (Delta4) meeting Terry Pratchett about writing THE COLOUR OF MAGIC, or Gary Bracey (OCEAN) meeting STEVEN SPIELBERG! The film is 2 hours and 45 of your Earth minutes.

As many of you will already be aware, The Centre for Computing History, in Cambridge, has recently acquired a most valuable piece of British history to add to it's plethora of goodies. It turns out the Nine Tiles Inc. have kept the incredible Sinclair ZX Spectrum from somewhere in the latter end of '81 to the eary '82 area.

Who are Nine Tiles Inc., I hear you ask? Why, they're the writers...

    • Vega+ stripped of Sinclair and ZX Spectrum brand
      Karl
According to the BBC, the RCL Vega+ console has lost it's right to use the Sinclair logo due to all the bumbling mishaps RCL have done. Sky, who own the rights to Amstrad (who in turn bought the rights to Sinclair back in '86) have had enough of all the prevaricating around the proverbial bush. Unfortunately for them, this came crashing down just as RCL had began shipping - with actual real people...

There's absolutely no denying, this is gonna be B*I*G! Not just because it's Commodore but also it will cover the range of home computers including (but definitely not limited to) the Commodore 64 and the Amiga series (so, yes, 8bit and 16bit).
I can't really do justice to the KickStarter here on this page, so instead, I heartily recommend clicking the below link and reading the whole campaign...

Twenty smackers for a fact filled paperback on the Oliver twins. Money spent well, if you ask me! £25 for hardback, also a cracking deal.
